Wall starter Kits may be used to provide simple lateral support to masonry wall panels in conversion, extension and new building works in the context of BS 5628: Part 1: 2005.

The system is able to accommodate vertical movement, without a significant loss of strength.

The design shear strength of the Stronghold system is 4kN (3.5kN for Solo) over the height of two wall starters (2.4 metres) when used with 3.5kN/mm2 blockwork in situations up to 3 storeys high (8 metres Maximum).
